[A.D. 1438-9], in the presence of Stephen Brown, the Mayor, the Recorder, and Aldermen, John Spaldyng, chaplain, taken with Johanna Wikys, a married woman, on suspicion of adultery, by John Mader and John Halman, Constables of the Ward of Langeborne. And the customary proclamation having been made, he is sent to the Ordinary to be punished.
